Jason Tyler is President of Wealth Management at Northern Trust.

Northern Trust’s Wealth Management business offers holistic wealth management services for affluent individuals, families, family offices, foundations, endowments, and privately held businesses. The business has offices in 24 U.S. states and Washington, D.C.

Prior to being named President of Wealth Management, Jason was Chief Financial Officer of Northern Trust with responsibility for overseeing the firm’s global financial strategy, functions and operations, including: Treasury, Controllership, Corporate Tax, Investor Relations, Procurement, Capital Management, Management Reporting, Planning and Analysis. He also had oversight for Workplace Services, which includes Corporate Real Estate and Global Physical Security Services.

Jason’s previous roles at Northern Trust include: Global Head of Corporate Strategy, Global Head of the Institutional Group in the Asset Management business, and Chief Financial Officer for Wealth Management.

Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2011, he spent eight years at Ariel Investments serving as Director of Research Operations and as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to his time at Ariel, he served in various leadership roles in Corporate Finance and Banking at American National Bank/Bank One.

Jason is a past contributor and guest market expert on Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg radio, ABC News, PBS, and Fox Business.

He is a Trustee of the University of Chicago, Board Chair at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, and an Advisory Council member of the Becker Friedman Institute at the University of Chicago. His other civic engagements include serving as Life Trustee of the Joffrey Ballet, where he formerly served as Chairman; Director of Advance Illinois; and Director of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare Foundation.

Jason earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University.
