Katherine Scherer
Katherine (Kathy) Scherer has served as Deloitte LLP’s Chicago Managing Partner since March 2020. She has enjoyed a nearly 40-year career in public accounting and consulting, starting her career at Arthur Andersen and joining Deloitte as a direct-admit partner in 2002.
Kathy moved to Chicago after graduating from University of Michigan Ross School of Business to pursue a career as a CPA. She is a passionate problem solver and an integrator. Helping clients solve problems and serving as a coach, mentor and sponsor to many have been true joys in her career.
During her career, Kathy has traveled the US and the world, developing an appreciation for different cultures and ways of life. After “graduating” from Deloitte, Kathy is looking forward to pursuing activities that promote greater access to education and workforce development for all.
Kathy resides in Chicago’s Old Town Triangle, and enjoys reading, dancing and spending time with her family.
