Liz Tinkham

LSI Fellow '25. Former Senior Managing Director, Accenture; Adjunct Professor, University of Washington

Liz Tinkham is a seasoned executive with over four decades of experience providing leadership and advice to businesses ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies undergoing digital and technology transformations as well as complex restructuring. Liz excels in bringing people, business, and technology together to drive exceptional business results, and her teaching roles at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business highlight her commitment to developing future leaders. Liz is now focused on leveraging her experience in service to corporate boards and educational equity initiatives.

Most recently, Liz has built a formidable Board career, serving on the boards of several prominent companies. Liz currently serves on the Board of Directors of Atos SE, a French-based multinational IT services and consulting firm, where she is also the head of the Nom/Gov committee and Lead Independent Director. She is also the Lead Independent Director of Particle, a San Francisco-based full stack Internet of Things company, and a Board member of The Athena Alliance, a digital platform for executive education and access to CXO and Board opportunities for top women in business. Additionally, Liz advises the state of Washington on educational and equity issues as a member and former Chair of the Board of Washington STEM.

Previously, Liz was a Senior Managing Director at Accenture, where she was a long-time member of the Firm’s Global Leadership Council and the Global Lead for Microsoft. Earlier in her career, Liz served as Accenture’s Global and North American Management Consulting Lead for the Communications, Media, and Technology verticals, overseeing ~$1B in annual revenue. Her responsibilities included revenue growth, M&A activity, and chairing the CMT Investment Board. Liz’s 30+ year career at Accenture involved building many of the practices and people that form the foundation of Accenture today.

Liz just completed nine years of teaching an undergraduate Management Consulting class and a graduate Nonprofit Board Management class at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. She was awarded the Gamble Award for Innovation in Teaching in 2020.

Liz splits her time between the Seattle area and Chicago with her husband, John. She has three adult children and enjoys hiking, SoulCycle, and travel. She is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a B.S. In Aerospace Engineering. Liz is an avid Buckeye fan.
