LSI Expands Team and Celebrates Expanded Pathways

As the Leadership & Society Initiative (LSI) launches its new Imagine Pathway, Diana Petty is stepping into an expanded leadership role as Executive Director and two new staff are joining the LSI team.

The Leadership & Society Initiative (LSI) at the University of Chicago is thrilled to share the growth of our team in preparation for our expanded pathways. Building on two accomplished cohorts and two transformative years, LSI is evolving and innovating. We’re welcoming two new staff members and celebrating a well-deserved promotion that highlights the remarkable success of LSI. 

Celebrating Diana Petty’s Promotion to Executive Director 

We are proud to announce the promotion of Diana Petty to Executive Director of LSI. Since joining LSI as Director, Diana has been instrumental in launching this groundbreaking initiative, guiding two successful cohorts, and establishing the unique method of LSI’s learning journey. Her visionary leadership and dedication to empowering accomplished leaders have positioned LSI as a beacon for those seeking to transition into impactful, purpose-driven roles. Diana’s promotion recognizes her outstanding contributions and sets the stage for LSI’s next chapter of growth and impact. 

Stephanie Hart Joins LSI as Associate Director for Part-Time Pathways 

In this new role, Stephanie will oversee the design and implementation of pathways tailored for senior leaders seeking flexible opportunities to pursue their next chapter of purpose, including the new Imagine Pathway. Stephanie will develop innovative new learning offerings for LSI that allow us to support more leaders in aligning their expertise, passions, and opportunities for societal contribution.  

Prior to joining LSI, Stephanie designed leadership programs for clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries and directed a purpose discernment program at Spring Hill College. She holds an MS in Educational Leadership and Policy and a BA in International Studies, both from Portland State University. 

Kristina Wilson Joins LSI as Associate Director for Recruitment 

In this new role, Kristina will lead efforts to identify and engage accomplished leaders who strive to envision and activate meaningful next chapters. Kristina will foster meaningful connections with candidates and organizations to help connect even more distinguished individuals with LSI’s resources.  

Prior to joining LSI, Kristina directed Talent Acquisition at OpenSesame, where she developed and executed innovative recruitment strategies. Kristina has over 15 years of talent acquisition experience across various industries. She holds a BA in Business Administration from Roosevelt University. 

With the addition of Kristina and Stephanie, and Diana’s expanded role as Executive Director, LSI is poised to grow our impact with distinguished leaders nearing an inflection point in their lives and seeking a purposeful next chapter for themselves and society. With the launch of the new Imagine Pathway, we are excited about the opportunities ahead to deepen our commitment to equipping leaders with the tools and inspiration to lead for society.
