As the Leadership & Society Initiative (LSI) at the University of Chicago continues to expand its programming and deepen its commitment to supporting accomplished leaders in shaping meaningful next chapters, we are pleased to welcome two new members to our team. These additions strengthen both our recruitment and program operations, ensuring we can continue delivering a high-touch, mission-driven experience for our Fellows and partners.
We are delighted to welcome Michelle Argento to the Leadership & Society Initiative as Associate Director of Recruitment. In this role, Michelle leads efforts to identify and engage accomplished leaders who are seeking to envision and activate meaningful next chapters of purpose and impact. She also works closely with prospective Fellows and partner organizations, fostering strong connections throughout the admissions and enrollment process. She welcomes the opportunity to connect with those who are interested in submitting their candidacy to be considered for the fellowship at margento@uchicago.edu.
Michelle brings deep admissions and enrollment experience across nearly every stage of education. She has worked with undergraduate, graduate, and lifelong learning programs throughout Chicagoland and the Northeastern United States. Most recently, she served as an enrollment leader for a national workforce development nonprofit, where she connected participants with skill-building opportunities and highly competitive internships at Fortune 500 companies.
We are also pleased to welcome Kelly Morgan as Assistant Director of Program Management for LSI. In this role, Kelly serves as the administrative backbone of the Initiative, streamlining processes related to participant enrollment, partnership contracting, and other core operational functions.
Kelly brings a strong background in mission-driven global work, with prior experience in international development and humanitarian aid. She has led partnership development initiatives for both USAID and World Food Program USA, bringing deep expertise in stakeholder engagement, logistics coordination, and continuous process improvement.
Michelle and Kelly join LSI at a moment of growth, bringing the insight and care needed to support an expanding community of leaders. Together, they will help create experiences that invite reflection, spark possibility, and support LSI Fellows and they embark on purposeful next chapters.
