Transitioning from the role of CEO was really challenging. You're focused on the business, you're focused on succession. 
You're not giving a lot of thought to what comes next, and it changes really abruptly. And I was really challenged with 
how to fill that void, where would I find kind of the passion and the purpose that would be fulfilling in that next chapter. 
And I was really fortunate to be able to land at Save the Children.

Business Leaders sometimes find it surprising that the skills that you acquire over those years in business really do provide 
such value to other sectors, leadership skills, governance skills, business capabilities, organizational efficiency and effectiveness, 
being able to engage with management and staff and donors and really help communicate with the mission of the organization.

I'm excited about the leadership and society initiative because I think it provides a framework for that transitional time for 
business executives to be able to understand where you best fit and how you can make a contribution is a real gift.
