Donna Wesley

Donna Wesley is a finance and treasury executive with more than three decades of experience leading financial operations, treasury, risk management, governance, and organizational transformation across nonprofit, union, healthcare, automotive, and financial services organizations.

Her career includes senior leadership roles with complex institutions serving hundreds of thousands of members and managing substantial financial resources. At the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust, the largest nongovernmental purchaser of healthcare in the United States, she helped build the financial and treasury infrastructure for a $55 billion organization serving approximately 650,000 retirees. Her responsibilities included treasury operations, a $4 billion annual budget, $81 billion in long-term liability reporting, investment operational due diligence, and the development of middle and back office capabilities supporting portfolio diversification.

As Chief Financial Officer of the Washington Education Association, Donna led financial operations for a $60 million nonprofit organization representing 85,000 members. She guided the organization through significant financial challenges while strengthening financial stability, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

Donna brings extensive experience as a board member, trustee, mentor, and nonprofit volunteer. Her leadership is grounded in sound governance, disciplined stewardship, collaborative decision-making, and a commitment to building cultures of trust and transparency.

She holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
