Reggie Simmons
Reginald “Reggie” Simmons serves as the Principal of Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana —a role he began on July 1, 2022, following his formal appointment by the HSE Schools Board of Trustees.
A dedicated veteran of public education with over two decades of experience, Reggie began his career as a classroom teacher in Perry Township Schools. He’s served as a teacher, dean, assistant principal, and ultimately a high school principal. He joined HSE Schools in 2005 and held various leadership positions, including Assistant Principal at Riverside Junior High and Director of the Hamilton Southeastern Fishers Academy, an alternative learning program serving grades 9 through 12. Reggie has been a champion for his racially and economically diverse students, developing a mentoring and leadership program for young Black and Latino males aimed at improving academic engagement, graduation rates, and post-secondary readiness.
Reggie also contributes to higher education as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
Simmons holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies (Secondary Education) from IUPUI and a Master of Science in Administration from Butler University. As a longtime Fishers resident and HSE parent-his four children are HSE graduates—he is deeply connected to the community he now leads.
